We ended up with only one team in action this week after Norsemen failed to field a team due to unpaid wages. Rumours are owner Steve Dale is in talks with SAL administrators in an attempt to avoid further sanctions who have taken a very lenient stance in allowing them to postpone the fixture at shorter notice than is very clearly outlined in the League rules. It is a real shame they don’t have another Club to share their ground with to provide some extra income and not be in breach of the rules once more.
The 3’s took the journey east to face an Old Parkonian’s side also struggling at the bottom of the table. A 0-1 lead within the opening minute from Chris O’Callaghan was soon a distant memory as the black and gold went in at half-time 3-1 down. We battled after the break, Chris adding another for his brace and surely announcing himself as a contender for the club golden boot and Josh netting a third for the OG’s. However, Parkonian’s added 2 more themselves to end up 4-3 victors.
Harvey did not score. Dan was on time.
